JYP Earns 'AA' in MSCI ESG Rating... "Top Grade Among K-pop Entertainment Companies"
Top 17% in Global Media and Entertainment
JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) announced on the 12th that it received the highest rating of 'AA' among domestic K-pop entertainment companies in the '2023 Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI)' ESG evaluation.
JYP recently received the 'AA' rating, a leader grade corresponding to the top 17% in the global media & entertainment sector, in the 2023 ESG evaluation conducted by MSCI.
JYP stated, "'AA' rating is the highest grade among domestic K-pop entertainment companies." In particular, following a B rating in 2020, BB in 2021, and A in 2022, it achieved the AA rating this time, marking three consecutive years of rating improvement.
Previously, JYP actively practiced ESG management, including publishing the first sustainability management report in the domestic entertainment industry in 2022.
JYP explained, "In 2023, we implemented welfare systems and leadership training programs for employee attraction and retention, and operated an independent compensation committee composed entirely of outside directors, receiving high scores in terms of 'human resource development' and 'corporate governance.'"

Since 1999, MSCI has annually evaluated listed companies worldwide on key ESG management issues, which are non-financial factors including Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects. The evaluation ratings range from CCC to AAA across seven levels.
