As a Representative Project Utilizing National Heritage, Including the 'Gangneung Cultural Heritage Night Tour'
Cultural Heritage Administration Selects Ten Projects for Multi-Year Support
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 12th the selection of "representative projects" to be supported over multiple years (3 years) as part of the "Our Local National Heritage Utilization Project." These include three projects under "Vivid National Heritage," two under "Cultural Heritage Night Tour," three under "Utilization of Living Hyanggyo and Seowon Cultural Heritage," and two under "Utilization of Traditional Mountain Temple Cultural Heritage."
"Vivid National Heritage" is a project that supports discovering the value and meaning of local national heritage to become representative tourist resources. The selected projects are "Wonju Maeji Nongak and Saenggibokdeok Vivid Cultural Heritage Village Creation" in Wonju, Gangwon Province; "Seomjingang Goblin Village" in Gokseong County, Jeollanam-do; and "Following the Pavilion, Following the Waterway National Heritage Tour" in Geochang County, Gyeongsangnam-do.
For "Cultural Heritage Night Tour," which creates a new night culture, "Incheon Open Port Cultural Heritage Night Tour" in Jung-gu, Incheon, and "Gangneung Cultural Heritage Night Tour" in Gangneung, Gangwon Province were selected. Under "Utilization of Living Hyanggyo and Seowon Cultural Heritage," which transforms hyanggyo and seowon into vibrant cultural spaces and places for youth character development, the selected projects are "Garden of the Moon, Wolbong Seowon" in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju; "Yeongi Hyanggyo, Connecting People and Culture" in Sejong City; and "Shinhang Seowon Rest Era" in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do.
"Chilbulam Five Senses Healing Experience" in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and "Bomyeong Deureumyeong, Engraving in the Heart" in Seogwipo, Jeju Island were included as supported projects under "Utilization of Traditional Mountain Temple Cultural Heritage."

The Cultural Heritage Administration will support project operation and promotional activities for three years until 2027. The projects will also be awarded the "National Heritage Yuyu Jajeok Plus" logo, which clearly identifies them as representative projects. An official stated, "These projects are expected to be widely promoted and nurtured together with other local national heritage utilization projects," adding, "We will evaluate the operation over the three years and review whether to extend support."
