Yongin-si Opens 11th 'Smart Library' Branch at Sanggal-dong Administrative Welfare Center
Available for unmanned borrowing and returning 365 days a year
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 12th that it opened the 11th branch of the 'Smart Library,' which allows unmanned book lending 365 days a year, at the Sanggal-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Giheung-gu on the 11th.

The Smart Library, which opened that day, is stocked with about 200 books, including bestsellers, this year's books selected by citizens, and children's books. Gyeonggi residents with a Yongin City library membership card can borrow up to three books per person for 14 days.
Users can access the service by signing up on the city library website, applying for full membership, and receiving a mobile membership card.
Since starting the Smart Library at Giheung Station in 2016, the city has been operating Smart Libraries at Jukjeon Station, Yongin Jungang Market Station, Seongbok Station, Bojeong-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Sinbong-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Yongin City Hall Civil Service Office, Dongcheon-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Wonsam-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, and Giheung-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
At the opening ceremony, Lee Sang-il, mayor of Yongin City, said, "We plan to increase the number of Smart Libraries by two more locations each year" and added, "We will strive to further increase citizens' book usage rates."

To commemorate this opening, the city will hold an event from the 18th to the 30th, giving beverage coupons to 60 users who borrow books from the Sanggal-dong Smart Library and leave a certification photo.
