Gwangju Shinsegae Presents Sunscreen Products for Harsh Spring Sunlight
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 11th that it will introduce essential ironclad defense items for blocking ultraviolet rays in spring as outdoor activities increase with the continued warm spring weather.
They have prepared a variety of UV protection products, from sunscreen that protects the skin barrier from the harsh sun, the main cause of aging, to hair products that protect dry hair.
First, with the arrival of spring and the increase in outdoor activities such as flower viewing, the time exposed to ultraviolet rays increases, so they are introducing sunscreens with high UV protection functions.
The contemporary Seoul beauty brand ‘Hera’ offers the ‘UV Protector Tone-up SPF50+/PA++++’ sunscreen (50ml, 45,000 KRW), which strongly protects the skin not only from UV rays but also from harmful urban environments. When purchasing sunscreen, a limited first-come-first-served gift of 5 mask packs and 50ml cleansing oil is provided.
Also, the eco-friendly brand ‘Aesop’ offers sunscreens that supply moisture to the skin while protecting it from UV rays, suitable for various skin types including normal and dry skin.
The representative product is the ‘Protective Facial Lotion SPF50+’ (50ml, 73,000 KRW), which blocks a broad spectrum of ultraviolet rays (UVA and UVB) with a high sun protection factor.
In particular, it is ideal as a daily item because it supplies moisture to the skin while protecting it from UV rays. Its non-greasy matte texture provides a consistent finish suitable for various skin types, making it appropriate for oily, normal, and dry skin.
Along with this, UV protection products that consider not only the face but also the hair stand out.
‘Aveda,’ which bases its products on ancient Indian medicine Ayurveda and uses pure essences of flowers and plants, offers the ‘Botanical Repair Strengthening Leave-In Treatment’ (100ml, 55,000 KRW).
This treatment features a three-layer hair repair technology that repairs, prevents, and protects hair from the inside out, and includes a UV filter that protects hair from drying and blocks UV rays, providing heat protection up to 230 degrees Celsius.
Kim Eun-seok, head of the luxury accessories team at Gwangju Shinsegae, said, “In spring, when outdoor activities increase and exposure to UV rays rises, more bare skin is exposed, increasing the range of UV exposure,” adding, “We hope customers will find UV protection products at reasonable prices through the Cosmetic Fair.”
