Kim Dong-yeon: "This General Election Is the Last Warning to a President Who Does Not Fear the People"
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon claimed that the overwhelming victory of the Democratic Party of Korea and other opposition parties in the April 10 National Assembly election was "the last warning sent to a president who does not fear the people." He also advised meeting with Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party.
On the 11th, Governor Kim posted on his social media, stating, "This general election is the last warning sent by the people to a president who does not fear them," and emphasized, "The proper way to heed the will of the people is to return to the 'time of economy and people's livelihood.'"

From there, cooperative governance to revive the economy and people's livelihood and national unity must begin."
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Korea secured a majority of seats on its own in the 22nd general election held on the 10th. This is a 'landslide victory' following four years ago.
The ruling People Power Party suffered its third consecutive defeat in the general election. Even combining constituency and proportional representation seats, it was a 'crushing defeat' similar in scale to four years ago.
