Kim Jong-yang, the candidate from the People Power Party, was elected as the member of the National Assembly for the Changwon Uichang district in Gyeongnam.
According to the Central Election Commission on the 10th, Kim Jong-yang defeated Kim Ji-soo of the Democratic Party of Korea with a vote margin of 58.24% to 41.75%, confirming his election.
As of 10:32 PM that day, the vote counting rate was 89.87%, and the vote difference between the two candidates was 17,899 votes.
