Gyeongbuk Office of Education, 40 Employees Participate in Group Blood Donation... 'Joining Life-Sharing Practice'
On the 9th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education held a group blood donation event with over 40 employees participating at the education office parking lot to join the 'Love of Life and Love Blood Donation Campaign.'
This blood donation event was organized to contribute to maintaining an adequate blood supply level in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and to practice warm-hearted Gyeongbuk education that helps patients and strengthens the power of life through cooperation between the Gyeongbuk Office of Education and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross.

The second group blood donation event of 2024 was quickly implemented to continue the high participation rate of the first event.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education voluntarily participates in the Love Blood Donation Campaign with 35 to 50 employees joining two to three times annually.
As of the end of last year, the blood supply in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region was at 4.3 days, which is below the adequate supply level of 5 days.
To prevent a blood supply crisis and ensure stable blood supply, this event was conducted in cooperation with the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross, strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines such as staggering participation times by department, hand sanitization, and disinfecting the interior of the blood donation bus.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continue participating in blood donations to practice sharing life and neighborly love.
A representative from the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross said, “We deeply appreciate the Gyeongbuk Office of Education staff who took the lead in blood donation service twice, which is difficult to do even once. We ask for continued participation throughout the rest of this year.”
