Samsung Securities Launches Overseas Stock Capital Gains Tax Filing Service
Applications Accepted via Mobile App 'mPOP' Until the 22nd
Samsung Securities announced on the 9th that it will accept applications for its overseas stock capital gains tax filing agency service through its mobile app 'mPOP' until the 22nd.
The overseas stock capital gains tax filing agency service can be applied for on mPOP without having to visit a branch in person.
The service is available to customers who had overseas stock capital gains of 2.5 million KRW or more through Samsung Securities last year.
If customers use multiple securities firms, they can submit tax records from other firms' transactions, and Samsung Securities will aggregate and provide the filing agency service.
Customers who traded overseas stocks through Samsung Securities can check the automatically calculated estimated capital gains tax in advance on mPOP.
Songsunghyun, head of the Overseas Stock Sales Team at Samsung Securities, said, "In line with the widespread era of overseas stock investment, we have prepared a convenient way to check and file capital gains tax through Samsung Securities' mobile app mPOP."

Meanwhile, Samsung Securities is also running an overseas stock replacement deposit event until the end of April. Customers who make net replacement deposits of overseas stocks from other firms to Samsung Securities and meet the conditions can receive up to 4 million KRW. The 'Overseas Stock Commission Benefit Hotspot' event, which offers online trading commission benefits for U.S. stocks, will also continue until the end of June.
