Gyeonggi Fire Department Operates 'Hazard Information Reporting Center' for Household Goods and Electronics
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is operating a 'Household Appliance Hazard Information Reporting Center.'
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 9th that when firefighters engaged in on-site activities such as fire, rescue, and emergency medical services discover hazard information with a high possibility of fire or safety accidents related to various appliances and household goods, they will report it to the Korea Consumer Agency to prevent accidents in advance by operating the Hazard Information Reporting Center.
To this end, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters is promoting the revision of the 'Regulations on Designation and Operation of Hazard Information Submission Agencies' in cooperation with the Korea Consumer Agency.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to provide separate incentives when hazard information reports lead to recalls to encourage firefighters to actively participate in hazard information reporting.
