"Cheonjusan Turns Pink" ... The 26th Cheonjusan Azalea Festival Concludes in Changwon
One of Changwon's representative spring festivals, the Cheonjusan Azalea Festival, was held from the 6th to the 7th at Dalcheon Park Auto Camping Site in Buk-myeon.
Organized by the Cheonjusan Azalea Festival Committee, this event marked its 26th year and concluded successfully with visits from Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, members of the National Assembly, provincial and city councilors, local residents, and spring visitors to Cheonjusan.
Cheonjusan, known as the creative background of the children's song "Spring in My Hometown" and famous for its azalea colonies, creates a spectacular pink wave every April. During the festival period, various events such as the Azalea Song Contest, drawing and writing competitions, performances, and experience booths are prepared for people of all ages to enjoy.
The city deployed fire trucks and ambulances to ensure visitor safety in case of emergencies, and minimized inconvenience by setting up temporary parking lots and assigning traffic management personnel, allowing all attendees to spend a relaxing time with their families.
