Chairman Kim Seung-yeon Visits Hanwha Robotics: "Continuing Development of Differentiated Innovative Technologies"
Seung-yeon Kim, Chairman of Hanwha Group, visited the headquarters of Hanwha Robotics on the 5th and said, "Collaboration between humans and robots has become an unstoppable trend of the times, and robots are the group's cutting-edge industry," adding, "Please continue to develop differentiated innovative technologies that will lead the market."
According to Hanwha Group on the 7th, Chairman Kim made these remarks during his visit to the Hanwha Robotics headquarters located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, on the 5th. Hanwha Robotics is a specialized robotics company officially launched in November last year by separating the collaborative robots, automated guided vehicles (AGV), and autonomous mobile robots (AMR) businesses from the automation (FA) division of Hanwha Momentum.

View original imageVice Chairman Dong-seon Kim, the third son of Chairman Kim and head of Hanwha Robotics' strategic planning division, accompanied him on the site visit. This was Chairman Kim's second direct visit to a business site this year, following his visit to Hanwha Aerospace's R&D campus in Daejeon last month.
Chairman Kim met with the technical development team to discuss the current status of technology and future prospects of the robotics industry, stating, "The ultimate goal of innovation in robot technology should be to improve the quality of human life," and urged, "Hanwha's technology must play a positive role in various aspects of our daily lives." He also added, "Starting with food tech, where robots can deliver immediate tangible results, we expect synergies across various group businesses such as defense, shipbuilding, and distribution."
Chairman Kim left a message in the guestbook at Hanwha Robotics headquarters, saying, "Cheering for a new start toward becoming a global leading company in the robotics industry. Let us create a sustainable tomorrow for humanity with differentiated technological capabilities."
According to Hanwha Robotics, after the site visit, Chairman Kim spent about an hour communicating with employees in their 20s and 30s while eating hamburgers. The hamburgers provided were products from the American brand Five Guys, introduced to Korea last June under the leadership of Vice Chairman Kim.

Hanwha Robotics plans to showcase AI vision smart solutions using collaborative robots, automation solutions such as patrol, security, and welding, as well as food tech solutions.
