Boryeong Public Health Center Provides Mental Health Education for Jungbu Power Employees
The Boryeong City Public Health Center in Chungnam announced on the 5th that it conducted mobile counseling and mental health education for employees at the headquarters of Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. to promote a culture of life respect and improve mental health.
The Ma-eum Bom Workplace project is a program that forms a suicide prevention safety net by establishing a system for mental health screening of middle-aged and older workers in workplaces with more than 30 employees, as well as identifying and intervening in high-risk groups.
In this education session, Dr. Kim Jong-in, a psychiatrist at Boryeong Elpis Hospital, taught appropriate prevention and treatment methods for depression and alcohol dependence, which are common psychiatric disorders experienced by office workers.
The main contents include mental health screening through a mental health management network (QR code), counseling and treatment linkage for high-risk groups, conducting face-to-face and non-face-to-face mental health programs, mental health and suicide prevention education, and mental health and suicide prevention campaigns involving employers.
