Gyeonggi-do Inspects 142 Youth Meal Facilities... Until the 19th of This Month
Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with local city and county governments, will conduct joint inspections of 142 youth dining facilities and food handling establishments, including youth training centers, dormitory academies, and private academies, by the 19th of this month.
The main inspection items include ▲use of products past their expiration (distribution) date ▲hygienic handling and storage management of food ▲health checkups for employees ▲compliance with preservation food storage obligations ▲use of spoiled, deteriorated, or unlabeled raw materials, among others.
Additionally, Gyeonggi Province will provide food poisoning prevention guidelines and publicity, and will conduct sample testing of foods suspected to cause food poisoning during hygiene inspections.

Inchikwon, Director of the Food Safety Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "With the increase in experiential learning and outdoor activities, and the large temperature differences in spring, the risk of food poisoning is high," and urged, "Food handling establishments such as dining facilities should strictly manage hygiene, and residents should pay attention to personal hygiene such as proper handwashing."
