Naju-si Promotes Mental Health Improvement Program 'Widaehan Cheongchun'
Naju City in Jeollanam-do has taken steps to promote the mental health of young people experiencing various psychological difficulties such as stress and anxiety.
The Naju Mental Health Welfare Center (Director Kang Dong-ryeol) announced on the 3rd that it will launch a new mental health promotion program called ‘Widaehan Cheongchun (Great Youth)’ to prevent social isolation and overcome anxiety and depression among local youth.
Naju City operates the "Great Youth (靑春)" program to promote the mental health of young people in the area.

This mental health promotion project consists of ▲Checking My Mind - Mental Health Check (Brainwaves·Stress) ▲Growing the Mind - Laughter Therapy and Suicide Prevention Education ▲Nurturing the Mind - Flower Therapy and Addiction Harm Prevention Education.
The program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday until the 23rd, and any youth aged 19 to 34 residing in Naju City can participate free of charge.
Prior to this, since last month, the Mental Health Welfare Center has been operating mental health checks, addiction (alcohol, gambling, drugs) prevention campaigns, and counseling booths at two local universities (Dongshin University, Catholic University), providing free treatment linkage and counseling to youth in need of expert help.
Director Kang Dong-ryeol said, “I hope this program will soothe the hearts of young people tired from daily life and help them regain balance in their lives,” adding, “We will continue to make greater efforts to support the mental health and overcoming depression of Naju citizens.”
Meanwhile, the Naju Mental Health Welfare Center is expanding mental health promotion projects tailored to life stages, including pregnant women, office workers, the elderly, and vulnerable groups.
