Busan Port Authority Appoints 623 Members to the 7th Technical Advisory Committee
Minimizing Disaster Occurrence, Strengthening Safety and Disaster Measures... Addition in Disaster Prevention Sector
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) has appointed 623 members to the 7th Technical Advisory Committee, composed of experts in 27 fields including ports and coasts, civil engineering structures, and architecture.
The previous 6th Technical Advisory Committee (’22.04.01.~’24.03.31.) consisted of 26 fields and conducted a total of 69 reviews. Last year's operational performance increased by 47% compared to the 5th term (’20.04.01.~’22.03.31., total 47 cases).
This Technical Advisory Committee added a disaster prevention specialty field to minimize disasters caused by abnormal climate and to strengthen safety and disaster countermeasure management.
The advisory members will carry out technical reviews requiring decision-making during the construction project implementation process and design advisory activities to examine the appropriateness of design contents for two years from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026.
