“Enjoying a Fun Journey with Tinyping”… SAMG Entertainment Signs MOU with KORAIL Distribution for IP Utilization
Domestic No.1 intellectual property (IP) 'Catch! Tinyping' is joining hands with leading mobility service company KORAIL Distribution to showcase the fusion of characters and mobility services.
SAMG Entertainment (CEO Kim Suhoon, hereafter SAMG Entertainment) announced on the 2nd that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KORAIL Distribution (CEO Kim Youngtae) and discussed various cooperation plans utilizing the 'Catch! Tinyping' IP.
This MOU focuses on the convergence of K-animation and railway mobility business, with both companies agreeing to collaborate to promote K-content and create new experiential spaces by leveraging their resources and networks.
Specifically, SAMG Entertainment and KORAIL Distribution will introduce a complex cultural space combining character IP and railway mobility platforms. From May 1 to 12, they plan to present 'Tinyping Station in Busan' at Busan Station. 'Tinyping Station in Busan' will be developed as a complex cultural space that combines character experiences and consumption.
Additionally, SAMG Entertainment will develop limited-edition 'Catch! Tinyping' merchandise exclusively available at KORAIL Distribution's 'Storyway.' At 'Cafe Storyway,' collaboration menus utilizing 'Catch! Tinyping' will be developed and sold.
The 'Catch! Tinyping' series, launched by SAMG Entertainment in 2020, is a mega IP with a fandom of 2 million kids domestically. Since its launch, 'Catch! Tinyping' has continuously broken new records as a kids IP within three years, including cumulative sales of 150 billion KRW, a peak TV viewership rating of 26%, and ranking No.1 on domestic and international OTT platforms. In December last year, it won the Presidential Award at the Korea Content Awards, establishing itself as the overwhelming No.1 character.
