Munheon-il, Guro-gu Mayor, Participates in Tree Planting for the 79th Arbor Day
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) held a tree planting event on the 2nd to commemorate the 79th Arbor Day.
The event was attended by Mayor Moon Heon-il, members of the Guro-gu Saemaeul Leaders Association, and local residents.
The site for planting trees had been subject to unauthorized cultivation and illegal dumping for decades. The district coordinated with the landowner to remove the illegal waste, and planted a total of 3,470 trees, including 300 Korean pine seedlings donated by the Guro-gu Saemaeul Leaders Association, and 3,170 trees prepared by the district such as Korean dogwood, Cornus kousa, Sorbus alnifolia, Rhododendron yedoense, Vitex rotundifolia, and Ilex crenata.
