View original imageThe Chungnam Provincial Park Golf Course will open in Cheongyang-gun in 2026.
On the 2nd, Chungnam Province announced that it has begun the design work for the construction of the Chungnam Provincial Park Golf Course.
The Chungnam Provincial Park Golf Course will be built on a 221,494㎡ site in the former Gubong Mine area of Cheongyang-gun, featuring 108 holes. The golf course will also include a clubhouse and the Korea Park Golf Association Education Center.
The golf course will be divided into three sections of 36 holes each, with each course having its own unique characteristics. Each hole will have fairways and bunkers, and throughout the course, tee houses and pergolas will be installed.
The total project cost is 23 billion KRW, with 3 billion KRW from the national government and 20 billion KRW from the provincial government.
The province plans to start construction this year after reviewing public property matters and aims to complete the project by the end of 2025.
Additionally, by the end of the year, the province plans to create 30 more park golf courses within the province, operating a total of 60 courses.

Song Mugyeong, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, said, "Once the provincial park golf course opens, we expect benefits such as improved health through expanded sports welfare for the elderly," adding, "We will push the project forward swiftly to open the nation's top premium park golf course."
