Asan City - Asan Police Station Agreement on Locating Contact-Disconnected At-Risk Households
Introduction of Police Tracking Techniques for Crisis Households with Difficult Material Identification
Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 1st that it has signed an "Agreement to Identify the Location of Contact-Disconnected Vulnerable Households" with the Asan Police Station.
This agreement is part of the "Pilot Project to Identify the Location of Contact-Disconnected Vulnerable Households," promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare selecting five local governments nationwide. The city was selected as a pilot project city in January.
Through this project, the city plans to apply police collaboration and various tracking techniques to households whose locations are unclear among those expected to be in crisis, and to eliminate blind spots by establishing a hotline between the city and the police station.
Until now, the city has been visiting subjects based on crisis information provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to check if they are facing difficulties and providing customized welfare services to households in need. However, it has faced difficulties in identifying locations due to reasons such as moving, vacant houses, and contact disconnection.
According to the agreement, the Asan Police Station will secure information using tracking techniques for subjects whose locations need to be identified and share it with the city. Furthermore, the city plans to reconfirm crisis situations based on the shared information and make every effort to prevent various accidents.
