Jeju International Airport Resumes Direct Flights on Jeju-Beijing Route with Air China
Korea Airports Corporation Jeju Airport (Airport Director Kim Bok-geun) announced on the 1st that Air China will resume direct flights on the Jeju-Beijing route for the first time in 4 years and 5 months since October 2019, starting from the summer season of 2024.
The resumed Air China Jeju-Beijing route will operate three times a week (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday) using a B737-800 (167 seats) aircraft.
Jeju Airport will resume direct flights between Jeju and Beijing operated by Air China starting from the summer season of 2024, marking the first time in 4 years and 5 months since October 2019.

On the first day of operation, the 31st of last month, the Chinese Consul General (Wang Luxin), Air China Korea Branch Representative (Ga Hang-woo), and Korea Airports Corporation Jeju Airport Director (Kim Bok-geun) attended the tape-cutting ceremony, distributed bouquets and souvenirs to passengers, and created a welcoming atmosphere by taking photos at a panda-shaped photo zone.
Air China plans to cooperate with local aviation and tourism industries in Jeju to meet travel demand within China, starting with the Beijing route, and will actively promote increased flights and route expansion.
Kim Bok-geun, Director of Jeju Airport, said, “The resumption of Air China, a major Chinese airline, will be an opportunity to further activate the attraction of foreign tourists,” and added, “We will continue to strive to contribute to the Jeju regional economy by implementing incentive programs for newly launched and increased flights, aiming to transport 3 million international passengers annually by next year.”
