Gangnam-gu 'Gangnam I Want to Keep to Myself' 60-Second Video Contest... Total Prize Money 20 Million Won
Recruiting Videos Discovering New Charm of Gangnam from April 1 to 30... 40 Selected, 500,000 KRW Awarded per Video, Up to 3 Entries per Person
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) is holding a 'Gangnam I Want to Keep to Myself' 60-second video contest, accepting submissions from April 1 to April 30.
Now in its third year, the contest invites vertical videos of around 60 seconds showcasing the diverse charms of Gangnam. The 132 entries from the previous contest achieved an average view count about 30% higher than other content, establishing themselves as popular Gangnam-gu content. While the previous contest focused on the theme 'The Charm of Gangnam,' this time the theme has changed to 'Gangnam I Want to Keep to Myself,' aiming to discover uniquely planned and distinctive promotional videos of Gangnam.
Anyone can participate regardless of age or residence. Participants should create videos freely expressing ▲ Gangnam's sights and attractions ▲ Reviews or interview content related to major Gangnam-gu policies and events ▲ Content related to Gangnam-gu's slogan 'A City Where Dreams Gather, Gangnam Drawing the Future,' then post them on personal SNS or video platforms with hashtags (#60초강남 #꿈이모이는도시미래를그리는강남). Submissions are made by submitting an application form including the post link via the Google Form accessed through the QR code on the contest poster. Forty outstanding works will be selected through judging.
Each individual (or team) may submit up to three works. Multiple works must be submitted together in one entry. For group submissions, one representative may submit on behalf of the team. The total prize money is 20 million KRW, with 500,000 KRW awarded per work. Since up to three works can be submitted per individual (or team), a maximum of 1.5 million KRW can be won.
The results will be announced on June 10 on the district office website's notice board and notified individually. Selected works will be sequentially posted on Gangnam-gu’s official YouTube channel, Instagram, and other main social media platforms, and will be widely used for online promotion of district administration.
