On the 29th, 32 university students who were selected through a competitive ratio of 22 to 1 attended the launch ceremony of the 10th ESG University Student Academy held at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul.

The ESG Academy is a program operated since 2014 to cultivate university students, who are future talents, into ESG experts and to create a "better life for all" together with them. Approximately 300 ESG talents have been produced up to last year.

For about five months, university students receive mentoring from LG Electronics' ESG practitioners and lectures from experts, and they also carry out projects that involve planning and implementing monthly missions related to each ESG field, such as solutions to environmental issues encountered in daily life.

This year, especially, members of the University Student Academy will become ESG video content creators and share video content freely covering their activities through the newly launched official academy YouTube channel. Outstanding participants will receive additional points in the document screening process when applying for entry-level positions at LG Electronics. Prize money and opportunities for overseas exploration are also provided.

Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Cooperation at LG Electronics, said, "We will consider ways to create a sustainable future together with Generation Z university students and nurture them into excellent ESG talents, helping academy members to continuously maintain interest in and practice ESG even after their activities."
