Gyeonggi-do to Create Mini Hydrogen Cities... Two Cities and Counties to be Selected by the End of Next Month
Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting cities and counties to participate in the eco-friendly hydrogen energy self-sufficient small city project, the ‘Mini Hydrogen City Development Project.’
The Mini Hydrogen City Development Project is one of the initiatives under Gyeonggi Province’s 8th-term public pledge, the ‘Hydrogen Convergence Cluster Development’ project.
This year, Gyeonggi Province will select two cities or counties as ‘Mini Hydrogen Cities’ and provide 10 billion KRW in provincial funding over three years. Last year, Yongin City was selected and is currently implementing the project.
Applications for the project are open until April 30, and cities or counties can form consortia with public institutions, private companies, and others to propose project models tailored to local characteristics.
In particular, extra points will be awarded for clean hydrogen production or utilization of existing hydrogen infrastructure.
