Democratic Party Gyeongnam Provincial Party Announces General Election Campaign Committee ... Kim Doo-kwan as Standing Campaign Committee Chairman
The Democratic Party of Korea's Gyeongnam Provincial Party announced the formation of the election countermeasures committee for the 22nd National Assembly election.
Kim Du-gwan, the provincial party chairman, held a press conference at the provincial council press room and announced the list of the general election countermeasures committee.

According to the announcement, the standing co-chairs of the election committee are Kim Du-gwan, the candidate for Yangsan and provincial party chairman; the joint co-chairs are former National Assembly member Jang Young-dal, former Changwon Mayor Gong Min-bae, and Park Byung-hee, an advisor to the Democratic Party.
The overall head of the election headquarters is Lee Heung-seok, the senior vice chairman of the provincial party, and the general situation room chief is Jeong Gyeong-won, the provincial party secretary-general.
Chairman Kim also introduced the specialized election countermeasures committee of the Gyeongnam Provincial Party.
The specialized committee consists of ▲ Byun Gwang-yong, candidate for Geoje City and head of the Shipbuilding Industry Revitalization Headquarters ▲ Lee Ok-seon, candidate for Masanhappo, Changwon City and head of the Regional Balanced Development Promotion Headquarters ▲ Heo Seong-mu, candidate for Seongsan, Changwon and head of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity Promotion Headquarters ▲ Woo Seo-young, candidate for Miryang, Uiryeong, Haman, and Changnyeong and head of the Climate Crisis Countermeasures Headquarters.
The advisory group includes provincial party advisors Kwon Soon-ok, Kim Pyeong-jeong, Lee Ok-ho, Lee Tae-gwon, and the election committee advisory group includes 14 professors including Yoon Sang-hwan, director of the provincial party's Dandi Research Institute.

The Democratic Party of Korea's Gyeongnam Provincial Party stated, "Judging the Yoon Suk-yeol administration is the people's aspiration and the spirit of the times, and the Democratic Party's victory in the general election is a victory for the people of the Republic of Korea," adding, "We will definitely win with a determination to fight to the death."

They continued, "According to the agreement with the Progressive Party provincial party, Democratic Party candidates have been confirmed as unified opposition candidates in all constituencies in the province except for Seongsan District in Changwon," adding, "Although Seongsan in Changwon has been confirmed as a unified candidate with the Democratic Party and the Progressive Party, we will not stop our efforts for complete opposition unity until the end."
