Miryang-si Selects 8 Districts for Cadastral Reinvestigation This Year
Reinvestigation of 1,403 Parcels in National Projects and 7 Districts Including Gyodong 1 District
Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 26th that, following the review by the Gyeongnam Provincial Cadastral Re-survey Committee on the 25th, eight cadastral re-survey project districts have been selected for this year.
The target areas include Gyodong 1 District, Gyodong 2 District, Susan-ri 2 District, Myeongrye-ri 1 District, Myeongrye-ri 2 District, Baeksan-ri 1 District, Geumgok-ri 2 District, and Gucheon-ri 2 District, totaling 1,403 parcels and 479,410 square meters.
The cadastral re-survey project is a national initiative aimed at correcting cadastral records that do not match the actual status of the land and converting paper cadastral maps into digital ones to enable efficient national land management and protect citizens' property rights. The project is scheduled to continue until 2030.
Since 2015, the city has completed cadastral re-surveys for 20 districts covering 2,475 parcels and is currently conducting surveys in 12 districts covering 1,216 parcels. This year, the city has secured approximately 298 million KRW in national funding for re-survey measurements and plans to entrust the work to the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX).

Joo Young-hong, Head of the Civil Complaints and Cadastral Division, stated, “Through the cadastral re-survey project, we will correct registration details in cadastral records that do not match the actual status to resolve boundary disputes between neighbors and ensure that residents can exercise their property rights without inconvenience. We will do our best to carry out the project.” He added, “We ask for more interest and cooperation from landowners so that the project can be smoothly completed.”
