Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Facilities Corporation, MOU to Bridge the Digital Divide for Seniors
The Gwangsan-gu Facilities Management Corporation in Gwangju Metropolitan City is taking steps to bridge the digital divide for the elderly.
The Gwangsan-gu Facilities Management Corporation’s Haengboknaru Senior Welfare Center recently announced on the 26th that it signed a business agreement with Honam University’s Sarang Nanum Center and the university’s AI Convergence College Department of Computer Engineering to operate a digital education support program aimed at closing the gap for senior citizens.
These institutions pledged to cooperate on ▲providing linked services for education support programs to bridge the digital divide ▲offering opportunities for students to contribute to solving local community issues ▲supporting volunteer education programs involving enrolled students for digitally marginalized groups in the region.
They plan to share information to address the digital divide among elderly citizens in the district through future collaborative projects and to strengthen community-linked service provision.
