Ministry of Industry Public Contest Public-Led Floating Offshore Wind Power Service Report Meeting Held
On the 25th, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do held a kickoff meeting for the public-led offshore wind farm complex development support project at the Ja-eun Ramada Plaza Hotel.
According to the county on the 26th, the event was attended by about 200 people, including Park Woo-ryang, the mayor of Sinan-gun, members of the Sinan County Council, the Danish Ambassador to Korea, and industry officials in the offshore wind sector.

At this kickoff meeting, tasks related to ‘pre-permit review and establishment of a basic plan for complex development’ and ‘Sinan floating offshore wind fishing damage impact survey and resident acceptance survey’ were presented.

A county official stated, “Above all, coexistence with local residents is a priority, and we will work together with residents to create reasonable compensation plans, regional development, and job creation,” adding, “We are currently exploring various options, including grid connection through the West Coast HVDC.”
