Able to Process Up to 20 Million Shipments per Day... CJ Daehan Tongun Improves Parcel Delivery System
CJ Logistics announced on the 26th that it has completed the development of the next-generation parcel delivery system, 'Lois Parcel,' and has introduced it nationwide. As the volume of parcels increased, the amount of data handled also surged, prompting the company to start upgrading the system in 2021 and recently complete it.
The new system integrates all data generated during operations, including the core system that manages the entire parcel delivery process such as reservation, sorting, dispatch, and settlement, the mobile application used by delivery drivers for assembly and delivery tasks, and parcel reception and inquiry functions used by corporate customers.
The company emphasizes its stability. The system can handle up to 20 million parcel data entries per day. The previously unified server operation has been distributed into four servers, ensuring that even if one server experiences a failure, operations will not be disrupted.
By transitioning servers to a cloud environment, the system can easily cope with sudden surges in volume during holidays. Previously, based on physical servers, it was difficult to quickly expand server capacity when volume increased. After adopting the cloud-based next-generation parcel delivery system, the cloud usage capacity can be temporarily increased or decreased. The Lois Parcel system for corporate customers is built in a web environment, allowing immediate use via link access without installing any separate programs.
