SK Enmove ZIC Achieves 26 Consecutive Years as Korea Industry's Brand Power No.1
SK Enmove's lubricant brand ZIC has ranked first in the engine oil category of the '2024 Korea Industry Brand Power Index (K-BPI)' for 26 consecutive years.
Organized by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), the K-BPI has been measuring brand competitiveness of products and services across domestic industries since 1999. ZIC has held the top position in the engine oil category for 26 consecutive years, earning the title of 'Golden Brand' for brands ranked first for over 10 consecutive years. It is recognized not only as the number one lubricant in Korea but also for enhancing quality and customer convenience, thereby building customer trust.
Since launching Korea's first premium lubricant brand ZIC in 1995, SK Enmove has led the premiumization of the domestic engine oil market. ZIC boasts excellent quality based on SK Enmove's Group III premium base oil 'Yubase,' combining improved fuel efficiency with engine protection functions. ZIC's superior quality meets not only European engine oil standards (ACEA) and American engine oil standards (API) but also the stringent technical specifications of automobile manufacturers.
Leading the domestic premium engine oil market, ZIC has expanded its product lineup and built strong brand value and a robust sales network, extending sales to over 60 countries worldwide. It supplies initial fill engine oil and automatic transmission fluid to major overseas original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). It also provides gearbox oil to numerous global electric vehicle companies. Initial fill engine oil refers to the oil filled at the vehicle assembly plant before delivery.
ZIC is also strengthening its customer touchpoints. Since 2022, SK Enmove has been conducting promotions for customer convenience and differentiated benefits through a dedicated online shopping mall for ZIC. Events such as free shipping and coupons for partnered service fees have been held, and online-exclusive products X10 and X8 have been launched, allowing consumers to directly choose high-quality products at reasonable prices.
Going forward, ZIC plans to expand into the power efficiency market. In September last year, SK Enmove launched the brand 'ZIC e-FLO' in a new business area aimed at improving power efficiency wherever electricity is used, such as electric vehicles and data centers. They are developing electric vehicle-specific lubricant products and fluid products for cooling data centers and energy storage systems (ESS).
To celebrate achieving first place in the K-BPI, SK Enmove will hold a customer event on the 26th from 12 PM for two hours. During this time, customers who purchase four ZIC products from the dedicated online shopping mall will receive one product for free. The eligible products exclude racing car engine oils and include all other products.
