View original imageHe requested cooperation to ensure that the next-generation advanced complex beam inspection facility construction project, which Changwon City is prioritizing, is promptly selected as a preliminary feasibility study target project and successfully passes the preliminary feasibility study after selection.
This project aims to develop and establish a neutron beam and X-ray fusion imaging device capable of inspecting large products and components within the defense and nuclear fusion national industrial complex, to strengthen global competitiveness and market leadership in advanced defense and next-generation nuclear industries.
The facility can detect defects without disassembling products and is distinguished from similar facilities by having the largest inspection area and being specialized for industrial use.
It has secured 3 billion KRW (national funds) for basic design costs in 2024 and is being promoted with the goal of applying for and passing the preliminary feasibility study within the year.
