Improvement of Harmful Facilities ... Enhancing Residential Conditions and Attracting Returning Farmers and Newcomers
Haman-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that the Gaya-eup Gaya District Rural Space Maintenance Project, selected through a public contest in 2022, has received basic plan approval from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and will be actively promoted.
The Rural Space Maintenance Project is a contest project led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, aimed at revitalizing rural spaces by supporting the maintenance of facilities subject to maintenance and improvement of residential environments necessary for rural space restructuring based on rural space planning.
Once the Gaya District Rural Space Maintenance Project in Gaya-eup, Haman-gun is actively promoted, the long-standing wish of residents who have suffered from odor and noise will be resolved, and it is expected to revitalize the area through the influx of returnees to farming and rural areas.
The county plans to invest a total project cost of 15.2 billion KRW secured through the rural space project to renovate livestock barns, kennels, and long-abandoned vacant houses located near residential areas, and utilize the sites to create village forests, parks, and community cultural welfare spaces.
Furthermore, the county will entrust the entire project to the Haman branch of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, complete the detailed design by December this year, start construction in March next year, and finish the project in 2026.
