It is reported that Jeon was also summoned the previous day.
The prosecution is reportedly focusing on questioning Jeon about the circumstances under which he arranged requests related to real estate development permits at the behest of Baekhyun-dong developer Jeong Ba-ul, chairman of Asia Developer, and whether he was involved in the handling of civil complaints while serving as a non-standing member of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
Jeon is accused of receiving bribes worth over 100 million won several times from Chairman Jeong between 2017 and 2019, under the pretext of arranging requests to public officials responsible for real estate development permits in the Sanggal district of Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
The prosecution believes that Jeon received about 100 million won from August 2017 to January 2019 by listing an employee of a research institute he operated as an employee of a company actually owned by Chairman Jeong and paying a salary.
