The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 22nd that starting from the 25th, when patients are transferred from tertiary general hospitals to cooperative hospitals for treatment, a 'treatment cooperation support fund' of up to 90,000 KRW per treatment session will be provided.
The Ministry explained, "From the 25th, when patients are transferred from tertiary general hospitals, information on the treatment capabilities of cooperative hospitals will be provided to connect patients to the most appropriate hospital according to their condition."
The information provided includes details about the types of beds the hospital has, medical departments, procedures, tests, rehabilitation, chemotherapy, dialysis, transfusions, treatments, and nursing care. From April, when the computer system is revamped, the capability information of cooperative hospitals will be available for real-time inquiry.

The Ministry stated, "Since the 11th, the patient transfer fee has already been increased by 150%, and the government is fully covering the ambulance transfer fee, which was previously borne entirely by the patient," adding, "The government expects that this support will further strengthen medical cooperation between hospitals."
