Chungnam Provincial Council Member Caught by Police for Drunk Driving... Refused Breathalyzer Test
A member of the Chungnam Provincial Assembly affiliated with the People Power Party, Mr. A, was caught by the police on suspicion of drunk driving.
The Boryeong Police Station in Chungnam announced on the 22nd that Mr. A was booked on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
According to Asia Economy's investigation, at around 8:30 p.m. on the 20th, police caught Mr. A in front of a large supermarket in Boryeong City following a citizen's report stating, "He staggered out of the vehicle and smelled of alcohol."
Mr. A reportedly refused to disclose his identity and refused the breathalyzer test, but was arrested on the spot by the responding police officers, investigated, and then sent home.
