View original imageOn the first day of candidate registration for the 22nd National Assembly election, held on the 21st, 19 candidates filed their candidacies in 11 constituencies in the Chungnam region.
According to the Central Election Commission on the 21st, 19 candidates registered in 8 out of the 11 constituencies on that day.
In Cheonan, Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-gwan and People Power Party candidate Lee Jeong-man both completed their candidate registrations.
In Gongju City, Buyeo County, and Cheongyang County, Democratic Party candidate Park Soo-hyun, People Power Party candidate Jeong Jin-seok, and independent candidate Go Joo-hwan registered. In Boryeong City and Seocheon County, Democratic Party candidate Na So-yeol, People Power Party candidate Jang Dong-hyeok, and independent candidate Lee Gi-won registered their names.
In Asan Gap constituency, Democratic Party candidate Bok Ki-wang, People Power Party candidate Kim Young-seok, and New Future Party candidate Jo Deok-ho registered. In Asan Eul constituency, Democratic Party candidate Kang Hoon-sik and People Power Party candidate Jeon Man-won completed their registrations.
In Seosan City and Taean County, Democratic Party candidate Jo Han-gi and People Power Party candidate Seong Il-jong registered, and in Dangjin City, Democratic Party candidate Eo Gi-gu and People Power Party candidate Jeong Yong-seon registered.
In Hongseong County and Yesan County, Democratic Party candidate Yang Seung-jo and People Power Party candidate Kang Seung-gyu completed their registrations.
Among the 11 constituencies, Nonsan City, Gyeryong City, Geumsan County, and Cheonan Gap and Cheonan Byeong constituencies currently have no registered candidates.
Candidates for five by-elections in the Chungnam region, held simultaneously with the general election, also registered their names.
In Dangjin City’s 3rd constituency, Democratic Party candidate Hong Ki-hoo and Progressive Party candidate Kim Jin-sook registered, and in Cheongyang County constituency, Democratic Party candidate Lee Jeong-woo and People Power Party candidate Gu Gi-soo completed their registrations.
In Cheonan A constituency, Democratic Party candidate Jo Eun-seok, People Power Party candidate Do Byeong-guk, Green Justice Party candidate Kim Ki-tae, and independent candidate Han Young-shin registered.
In Buyeo County A constituency, Democratic Party candidate Noh Seung-ho, People Power Party candidate Jeong Heon-gu, and independent candidate Bae Ok-hyun registered, while in Buyeo County D constituency, Democratic Party candidate Baek Seung-min, People Power Party candidate Jo Deok-yeon, and Progressive Party candidate Kim Ji-sook completed their registrations.
