Paper straw manufacturers, who expanded production facilities and produced large inventories, are currently struggling due to blocked sales channels.
In response, Woowa Brothers will donate 100 million KRW and add 100 million KRW prepared by the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise Associations, jointly purchasing a total of 200 million KRW worth of paper straws to distribute to small business owners. This initiative supports paper straw manufacturers while encouraging small business owners to use eco-friendly products. The paper straws purchased with the donation will be distributed through consultative bodies formed with industry groups of small business owners with high demand.
Ham Yoon-sik, Vice President of Woowa Brothers, said, "This is a great opportunity to help paper straw manufacturers in difficult situations and for many small business owners to use eco-friendly products." He added, "Woowa Brothers will continue to do its best for environmentally sustainable growth."
