Reform New Party, Proportional Representation No. 1 Lee Ju-young Doctor · No. 2 Cheon Ha-ram
Former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Member Ki In No. 6
Kim Cheol-geun and Kim Yong-nam Excluded from the List
The Reform New Party placed Lee Ju-young, former professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, as number 1 on the proportional representation list for the April 10 general election.
On the 20th, immediately after the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly, Representative Lee Jun-seok met with reporters and announced, "Today, the Supreme Council received the proportional representation nomination order submitted by the Public Official Recommendation Committee," and revealed the list.
Number 1 on the proportional list is Professor Lee Ju-young of Soonchunhyang University, number 2 is Cheon Ha-ram, former chairman of the People Power Party’s Jeonnam Suncheon-Gwangyang-Gokseong-Gurye Gap district party committee, number 3 is Professor Moon Ji-sook of Cha Hospital College, and number 4 is party spokesperson Kwak Dae-jung.
Professor Lee was born in 1982 and graduated from Dongguk University College of Medicine and Ulsan University Graduate School. After working at Ajou University Hospital in 2009 and Seoul Asan Hospital in 2012, he has been serving as a clinical assistant professor at Soonchunhyang University-affiliated Cheonan Hospital since 2016.
Representative Lee Jun-seok introduced Professor Lee as "a doctor who stayed steadfastly on the pediatric medical frontlines to resolve the avoidance of pediatric and adolescent medical care and the medical crisis."
Cheon Ha-ram, former party committee chairman, was born in 1986 in Daegu. He graduated from Korea University’s Department of Law and Korea University Law School, then passed the first bar exam. In the 2020 21st general election, he ran for the Jeonnam Suncheon-Gwangyang-Gokseong-Gurye Gap district but was defeated. Since then, he has been active as the party committee chairman in this region, sharing political paths with Representative Lee Jun-seok.
Number 5 on the list is Lee Jae-in, former Blue House Secretary for Women and Family Affairs, and number 6 is Lee Gi-in, former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member. Following them, number 7 is lawyer Jung Ji-hyun, number 8 is Professor Kwak No-seong, number 9 is Professor Hwang Yu-hwa, number 10 is Cho Sung-joo, former co-representative of New Choice, number 11 is Secretary-General Jeong Bo-gyeong, and number 12 is Deputy Spokesperson Lee Jae-rang.
Regarding the proportional representation list announced that day, Representative Lee said, "I heard that there were various disagreements within the Public Official Recommendation Committee," but added, "The committee members will separately explain the purpose of the list later."
Most of the leadership who applied for the Reform New Party’s proportional representation nomination, except for former chairman Cheon Ha-ram, were either excluded from the list or given low-ranking positions with little chance of winning. Previously, prominent leadership figures such as Kim Yong-nam, Policy Committee Chairman, and Kim Cheol-geun, Secretary-General, had applied for screening. Considering the proportional party’s support rate, it is expected that the Reform New Party’s proportional winning zone will be around number 2.
Representative Lee said, "I understand that during the discussions within the Public Official Recommendation Committee, some members raised objections regarding that part (support from party leadership personnel)," and added, "Although there were some objections within the Supreme Council as well, the general judgment was that it was right to largely adopt the committee’s proposal."

Regarding whether there is any intention to leave the party in protest of the nomination results, he responded, "In a situation where evaluations cannot be made, there will be people who are disappointed and people who cannot accept it."
