Gochang-gun Operates Walking Program on Seohaerang-gil Course Including Seonunsan

Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 20th that it will officially operate the ‘Seohaerang-gil Course’ walking program, which allows visitors to explore Gochang Mudflat and Seonunsan Mountain all at once.

The county recently selected a travel agency in charge of the Seohaerang-gil walking program (Resident Fair Travel Agency PamPam) and will operate the program until November.

Gochang Seohaerang-gil Courses 41, 42, and 43 connect major points such as Dongho Port, salt fields, West Coast Wind Park, and the unique rock formations of Seonunsan Mountain, depending on the course.

It is a path where you can experience the beautiful sunset and mudflats of the West Coast up close, and it is the best course to also enjoy the spectacular scenery of Seonunsan Mountain, which is beautiful in all four seasons.

This year’s program consists of themed, stay-type, and festival-type courses, including ▲Seohaerang-gil with celebrities ▲Seohaerang-gil Gochang524, which covers the entire Seohaerang-gil route ▲Visiting Gochang Seohaerang-gil, and will be operated a total of 33 times.

The one-day product costs 10,000 KRW for participation, and a 50% discount is available when issuing a digital tourism resident ID.

In addition, various cultural events will be held as part of the Korea Dullegil Rest Area revitalization project near the Simwon-myeon Mudflat Center, and it will be used as a traveler community space.

Furthermore, in connection with the Korea Tourism Organization’s Travel Month program, a product themed on healing hikes at Seonunsa Temple and camellia flowers will be conducted in collaboration with the outdoor travel community ‘Fairplay’.

Oh Misook, Director of the Tourism Industry Division of Gochang-gun, said, “With the arrival of spring, I hope people relieve their daily fatigue and create good memories on the beautiful Seohaerang-gil,” adding, “We will continue to develop Seohaerang-gil as a famous walking travel destination.”
