Two-Year-Old Drug Control Act Violation Record
A man in his 20s who stole computer parts while moving around lodging establishments nationwide was investigated for committing the crimes to raise money to buy drugs.
On the 19th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested and sent Mr. A to prosecution the day before on charges of habitual theft and violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
Mr. A is accused of stealing computer parts such as graphics cards and central processing units (CPUs) installed in motel rooms in the Seoul and Busan areas from November last year to early this month.
When Mr. A was arrested in Ulsan on the 9th, he was found in possession of about 1 gram of methamphetamine. A rapid drug test showed a positive result for drugs.
