WiseAI Registers Industry-First Patent for 'AI Outbound Call System'
Wise AI, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, announced on the 19th that it has successfully registered a patent for its ‘AI Outbound Call System.’ The specific patent title is ‘ARS-based AI-powered outbound call system for call centers and its operating method.’
This patent pertains to technology that handles outbound call center consultation tasks through AI. Outbound consultation refers to tasks conducted by companies or organizations to △provide information △promote and sell products or goods △manage customers, among other purposes.
With recent technological advancements, AI has become commonly integrated into the ‘inbound call’ domain. Inbound calls refer to calls initiated by customers for consultations or reservations. Conversely, in the outbound call domain, the technology has been limited to simply delivering preset messages via voice recordings or TTS (text-to-speech) technology.
The company explained that it embarked on developing an AI-powered outbound call system to establish a faster and smoother response system and reduce the workload of consultants. When applied, this technology allows AI to handle the entire outbound task and connect to a consultant only when necessary.
Wise AI has already applied related technology to various AI solutions it developed, such as SSAM, AiU, and AiME, and is operating services using them. For example, AI handles outbound tasks like notifying patients of upcoming regular checkups and promoting promotions by utilizing hospital databases (DB), and when calls are missed, a chatbot linked with ChatGPT prevents customer attrition.
Wise AI plans to apply the outbound function to ‘AiME,’ scheduled for mobile version release in May. Through this, it aims to significantly enhance customer convenience by adding sales management roles beyond simple call handling.
According to a client using the AiU service, a total of 5,000 outbound calls for regular checkups were executed in March, resulting in about 100 connections to hospital consultants and 50 actual reservations. The company explained that the outbound function effectively improved work efficiency and increased sales.
Song Hyung-seok, CEO of Wise AI, said, “Existing TTS-based simple outbound call services had limited effectiveness due to the one-way nature of message delivery, and human-based services posed a heavy workload on consultants. Wise AI’s AI outbound system is characterized by its ability to provide two-way responses and conduct large-scale target marketing at once.”
