Gwangju University and Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters Sign Agreement to Promote Glocal University Initiative
On the afternoon of the 18th, Gwangju University signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters at the Education Innovation Support Office on the 6th floor of the administration building on campus to jointly promote the Glocal University 30 project.
According to the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate to support and participate in the Glocal University 30 innovation project, connect human and material resources for various disaster safety-related support activities, collaborate on education and training to foster safety awareness and professional personnel, cultivate practical talents through the Glocal University industry-academia campus, and work together for mutual development and regional job creation.
President Kim Dong-jin said, "Disasters and accidents threaten citizens' lives and property regardless of time and place. To establish a safety culture in the local community and cultivate civic awareness, we will strengthen safety education for enrolled students and actively cooperate by volunteering for various programs operated by the Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters."
