Korea Student Aid Foundation Selects 30 Outstanding High School Students for Overseas Study ... Annual Payment of $60,000
Application Period, Until April 16
The Korea Student Aid Foundation plans to select approximately 30 new scholarship recipients for the 2024 academic year’s Outstanding High School Students Overseas Study Scholarship (Dream Scholarship).
The application period is until April 16, and eligibility is limited to domestic high school sophomores and juniors who are recipients of basic livelihood security benefits or belong to the near-poverty class, have excellent academic performance, and wish to study abroad at overseas universities.
The 2024 new scholarship recipients will be selected through document screening and interviews, targeting high school sophomores and juniors. Up to 30 students will be selected, including 5 students from industry-demand customized high schools and specialized high schools. The Outstanding High School Students Overseas Study Scholarship can be applied for directly by students on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website.
The Outstanding High School Students Overseas Study Scholarship program started in 2012 to cultivate global talents and currently supports 143 scholarship recipients as of 2024, with 93 having advanced to 10 countries worldwide.
The Korea Student Aid Foundation provides selected high school sophomores and juniors with a monthly study encouragement allowance ranging from 500,000 to 700,000 KRW, offers personalized one-on-one mentoring, and supports study abroad information sessions in collaboration with embassies. It also provides tailored study abroad counseling to help students enter prestigious overseas universities.
Additionally, international students receive up to $60,000 annually for tuition and living expenses, and scholarships are further awarded to those with excellent academic performance, ensuring they can focus solely on their studies through active support.
