Ukraine Port Reconstruction Delegation Visits Busan Port Authority
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) announced on the 15th that a Ukrainian port reconstruction delegation, consisting of the Director of the Ukraine Maritime and Inland Transport Traffic Bureau and the President of the Ukraine Port Authority, visited the Busan Port Authority.

View original imageThis delegation visit was conducted through the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' overseas port officials invitation training program and was promoted to discuss cooperation projects for the reconstruction of Ukrainian ports and to support requested areas of cooperation with the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure.
The delegation consulted on the scope of work for the cooperation project on Ukrainian port reconstruction with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, shared knowledge on the VTS project, and visited BPA to tour the Busan Port site. They also visited Busan New Port, ranked 7th in the world for container cargo volume and 2nd in the world for transshipment cargo volume, to observe the site.

Jin Gyu-ho, Head of BPA's Management Headquarters, said, “We hope that the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Busan Port will serve as an opportunity to expand exchanges and cooperation between the ports of the two countries, and we hope that Busan Port Authority can actively support the Ukrainian port reconstruction project in the future.”
