"Protecting Safety on Spring Days"... Residents Begin Inspection for Thawing Season
We Protect Safety on Spring Days! Residents of Neung-dong, Gwangjin-gu Conduct Thawing Season Inspections
The Neung-dong Regional Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group in Gwangjin-gu (Leader Kim Dong-chun) carried out patrol activities on the 13th to prevent safety accidents during the thawing season.
As spring temperatures rise, moisture frozen underground melts, weakening the surface. To prevent safety accidents caused by this, 15 members composed of the Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group and staff from the Neung-dong Community Center (Director Hong In-soon) thoroughly inspected four high-risk facilities.
On this day, District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho also joined the inspection. They checked construction sites, retaining walls, and steep slopes for any hazards and cleared trash from alleyways to create a pleasant environment. Mayor Kim said, “We will work harder to create a neighborhood free of accidents so that everyone can walk safely on warm spring days.”
The Neung-dong Regional Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group will continue patrol activities next month as well. They lead efforts to protect residents’ safety by conducting regular monthly patrols.

Jayang3-dong in Gwangjin-gu (Director Han Mira) is holding a small exhibition titled ‘Sae-gye (Four Seasons)’ capturing the landscapes of the four seasons until the 31st of this month.
The exhibition, held in the residents’ rest area ‘Jayang Darak (Many Joys)’ at the Jayang3-dong Community Center, features works by local artist Yoon Sung-chun. It is filled with 11 watercolor paintings depicting the diverse traces of the four seasons through a warm and affectionate perspective.
Visitors responded positively, saying, “I stopped by the community center briefly for a civil petition, but the unexpected paintings gave me a moment of rest,” and “Viewing our country’s scenes in warm-toned watercolors made me feel cozy.”
