Gokseong-gun and Gian Leisure Sign Private Investment Agreement for Local Vitality Town
Activation of Tourism Resources, Creation of Youth Jobs, etc.
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do and Gian Leisure (CEO Lee Young-gil) announced on the 15th that they have signed a business agreement to revitalize tourism resources and create youth jobs in the Gokseong-gun Regional Vitality Town.
The signing ceremony was held with about 10 attendees, including County Governor Lee Sang-cheol and Gian Leisure official Jung Hyun-jung, and was concluded to attract private investment within the Regional Vitality Town creation project, a multi-ministerial linked project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The agreement entails mutual efforts by Gokseong-gun and Gian Leisure to be selected for the Regional Vitality Town public contest project, aiming to revitalize local tourism resources by creating a theme park based on hot springs and contribute to the creation of various youth jobs.
It also includes cooperation in various projects to respond to the issue of local extinction.
A Gian Leisure official stated, "We will do our best to create a residential environment where urban youth and retirees can live actively by providing convenience facilities offering various food and entertainment, including a water play theme park based on hot springs."
A county official said, "Through this private investment attraction business agreement, it will be possible to establish a living hub combining housing, living infrastructure, and living services, which is expected to provide opportunities for urban youth and retirees to independently build their lives."
