On the 14th, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) hosted an exchange event with the "Japanese Kimchi Delegation," consisting of about 10 members including representatives from Kimchi House Japan and Kurihara Farm, where they experienced making onion kimchi and discussed marketing strategies.

View original imageAccording to the county on the 14th, Kimchi House Japan is a kimchi manufacturing and sales company located on Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture, known for achieving the fastest sell-out time through SNS marketing for online sales. Kurihara Farm, operated by a young farmer gaining attention in Ibaraki Prefecture, sells rice, vegetables, and green onion kimchi.
In the morning, the delegation participated in a class by Joo Geum-soon, a master of Namdo cuisine, at the Cheonggye-myeon Agricultural Products Comprehensive Processing Support Center, where they learned kimchi-making know-how by making onion kimchi themselves. In the afternoon, they met with Kang Haeng-won, CEO of Nongbareum in Hyeonggyeong-myeon, to discuss income increase strategies through online sales and quality improvement using new technologies.
Governor Kim San said at the meeting with the delegation, "We welcome the visit of these two leading companies in the Japanese kimchi sector to Muan-gun," adding, "We hope to continue exchanges in the future, introducing new technologies and sharing experiences and knowledge for mutual development."
