Guro-gu Joint On-site Inspection in Preparation for Major League Baseball Seoul Series
On the 14th, Deputy Mayor Eom Eui-sik Visits Gocheok Sky Dome Site
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that it conducted a joint on-site inspection with related organizations on the 14th in preparation for the 2024 Major League World Tour Seoul Series.
The inspection included participants from Guro-gu, Seoul City, Seoul Facilities Corporation, Guro Fire Station, and the 7688th Unit.
Attendees, including Eom Eui-sik, Deputy Mayor of Guro-gu, carefully checked safety management elements by walking inside and outside the stadium.
At Gocheok Sky Dome, the following games will be held: ▲ LA Dodgers vs. Kiwoom Heroes at 12 PM on the 17th ▲ Team Korea vs. San Diego Padres at 7 PM on the 17th ▲ San Diego Padres vs. LG Twins at 12 PM on the 18th ▲ Team Korea vs. LA Dodgers at 7 PM on the 18th.
On the 20th and 21st, the MLB Seoul Series opening two-game series between the San Diego Padres and LA Dodgers will take place.
Accordingly, the district plans to establish an organic cooperation system by sharing real-time situations with related organizations such as Seoul City, Seoul Facilities Corporation Dome Stadium Operations Office, Guro Police Station, and Guro Fire Station, and promptly activating the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in case of emergencies.
Safety management personnel will be on standby at all times, and proactive responses will be made through concentrated CCTV monitoring around the stadium, including Guil Station.
Furthermore, the district has set a principle to preemptively control and fundamentally prohibit illegal activities.
To prevent pedestrian accidents, strict crackdowns will be conducted on illegally parked vehicles, illegal street vendors, and stored items near the stadium, and safety management at the Gyeongin-ro bus stops will be strengthened.
