Gyeonggi-do Provides 17 Native Seeds Developed Last Year Free of Charge
Gyeonggi Province will provide native seeds produced last year free of charge through each city and county to preserve and cultivate native seeds.
The Gyeonggi Seed Management Office announced on the 15th that it will accept applications until the 20th of this month and supply 5,855 kg of native seeds of 17 varieties of three crops?rice, soybeans, and red beans?free of charge starting from the 25th.
The native seed varieties to be supplied include ▲ six native rice varieties such as Huinbe, Red Chanarak, Bukheukjo, Jjoljanggyeo, Aronggyeo, and Borigyeo ▲ seven native soybean varieties such as Seonbijabi Soybean, Jeongseong Soybean, Jwinuni Soybean, Buchae Soybean, Daechu Bam Soybean, Ajukkari Soybean, and Meoru Soybean ▲ and four red bean varieties including Yellow Red Bean, Jae Red Bean, White Red Bean, and Black Red Bean.
Applicants must apply to the agricultural technology centers or seed supply-related departments of each city and county by the 20th of this month.
The applied native seeds will be supplied through each city and county starting from the 25th of this month.
