On the 14th, the Organization signed a business agreement with these institutions at the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office and plans to promote various projects such as ▲discovering tourism companies planning new hires ▲training customized personnel to meet corporate recruitment demands ▲providing job matching services.
The Organization will strengthen education in tourism ICT and tourism content production targeting middle-aged individuals aged 45 to 64 and women with career experience. Together with the partner institutions, they plan to unify the entire process from discovering job-seeking companies to designing talent development programs that meet recruitment needs and job matching.
This agreement was prepared to resolve the ongoing labor shortage faced by the tourism industry, including travel agencies and hotels, despite the recovery trend in the number of foreign tourists visiting Korea after the endemic, which reached 880,000 visitors in January, about 80% of the 1.1 million visitors in the same month of 2019.
