Moon Yong-jin, the Democratic Party of Korea's preliminary candidate for Mokpo City National Assembly, held a press conference at 2 p.m. on the 14th to announce his withdrawal from the candidacy, stating, "I will always stand with the citizens for the development of Mokpo."

Candidate Moon said, "Since registering as a preliminary candidate on December 12 last year, I have advocated for political change and a fresh breeze in Mokpo, and I have done my best for just over 100 days," expressing gratitude by saying, "Many people believed in my passion and supported me."
He continued, "I feel indebted to the citizens and supporters who have shown me love, and I regret this, but I will repay it through efforts for the development of Mokpo."
